My ford kuga came back from been repaired after someone crashed into the back of it while parked .it needed a number of new parts including new bumper on the back .when we tried car out once back we have an indicate light telling us it has parking pilot malfunction why is this as we can not find it on line
Hi Lynn. I would think it’s an issue with a parking sensor in the bumper. Could be a sensor issue or wiring issue. Best thing to do is to take it back to who repaired it and tell them what’s happening.

On driving my new Ford Kuga Hybrid, I notice on a couple of occasions a foot & pedal symbol appears. next to it is an arrow that points left & right. What do these mean please?

Hi I have a Ford Kuga 2013, only had it a few months and I have had a warning light come on a couple of times.
Engine Malfunction Service Now (Amber)
I have been told it is my DPF, I took this into my local garage and had this cleaned, but on there system said it had failed, so I did not get charged.
So you think it could be a sensor issue?
Thanks
Hi Paul,
I assume you took it to the garage for a forced regeneration? The car attempts to automatically clean the DPF. If that fails, it may require driver intervention, such as continued driving on a motorway for example. A forced regeneration is the last stop before potential damage to the filter or engine damage, so I’d be more inclined to ask exactly what failed. Was it fault codes that indicated a blocked DPF? It could be a sensor, but you’ll need to have the fault codes read, ask the garage if the DPF is blocked and why a forced regeneration failed.
