Reset ŠKODA Fabia Tyre Pressure Warning Light

The ŠKODA Fabia tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) will need to be reset after changing one or more wheels, changing the position of a wheel such as swapping wheels between axles or when adjusting tyre pressures. Resetting the system should also make the dashboard warning light go out. If the light remains on or flashes after using the guides below, there is a fault with the tyre pressure monitoring system.

How you reset the ŠKODA Fabia depends on which generation your vehicle is. Detailed below are guides for resetting the tyre pressure monitoring system for the ŠKODA Fabia Mk2 (second generation) and Mk3 (third and current generation).

Reset ŠKODA Fabia Mk2 Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Use this guide to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system light for ŠKODA Fabia Mk2 (second generation 2007-2014).

  1. Locate the tyre pressure sticker either on the inside of the driver’s door ‘B’ pillar or inside the fuel cap and inflate all vehicle tyres to the specified correct pressures.
  2. Switch on the ignition.
  3. Locate the tyre pressure set button ŠKODA Fabia tyre pressure button (see diagram) to the side of the parking brake. Press and hold the button down for longer than 2 seconds.
  4. If the tyre pressure warning light Tyre pressure icon illuminates lights up or flashes and does not go out after the system setup / reset, this indicates a system fault.
  5. The tyre pressure monitoring system will now be reset and the tyre new pressures stored.

Reset ŠKODA Fabia Mk3 Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Use this guide to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system light for ŠKODA Fabia Mk3 (third generation 2015 to present) using the infotainment system.

Using the infotainment system.

  1. Locate the tyre pressure sticker either on the inside of the driver’s door ‘B’ pillar or inside the fuel cap and inflate all vehicle tyres to the specified correct pressures.
  2. Switch on the ignition and ensure the infotainment system is switched on.
  3. Press the CAR Skoda Octavia car button button.
  4. On the screen, select Vehicle status Vehicle Status Skoda infotainment button .
  5. Use the function interface directional arrows to navigate to Tyre pressure loss indicator.
  6. Tap on Skoda fabia tyre pressure monitoring system reset icon to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system.
  7. The tyre pressure monitoring system will now be reset and the tyre new pressures stored.

Use this guide to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system light for ŠKODA Fabia Mk3 (third generation 2015 to present) using the dashboard button.

Using the tyre pressure monitor button.

  1. Locate the tyre pressure sticker either on the inside of the driver’s door ‘B’ pillar or inside the fuel cap and inflate all vehicle tyres to the specified correct pressures.

  4. An acoustic signal sounds and the warning light goes out informing you that the new tyre pressures have been stored and the system reset.

Reasons Why the Tyre Pressure Light Comes on

  • The tyre pressure is low.
  • The structure of the tyre is damaged.
  • The vehicle is loaded on one side.
  • The wheels of one axle are loaded more heavily (e.g. when towing a trailer or when driving uphill or downhill).
  • Snow chains are fitted.
  • The spare wheel is fitted.
  • One wheel per axle was changed.

What to do if the Tyre Pressure Light Comes on

If the tyre pressure warning light comes on, immediately reduce speed and avoid sudden steering and harsh braking. Stop your vehicle as soon as safely possible and inspect the tyres and inflation pressures.
