THE DRIVING TEST IN Pontefract
Pontefract Driving Test Centre is located around busy town roads where the testing examiner will be assessing your ability at most traffic systems to include roundabouts, both multi lane and mini roundabouts, junctions and crossroads.
The test from Pontefract Driving Test Centre will involve a minimum of one test manoeuvre although a second manoeuvre is occasionally requested time permitting. Approximately 10 minutes of the test will be involved in independent driving.
The test lasts around 30 – 40 minutes and is likely to include the emergency stop procedure having around a 1-in-3 possibility. Test centre routes are designed by the examiners who conduct practical tests at their local test centre. The routes are designed in such a way so to involve as many diverse roads and traffic systems as possible, often including very challenging parts.
Gaining knowledge of the test routes provides valuable insight into the type of roads that will be taken during your test. Driving test routes may be available to view or a downloadable app for your mobile device in your area, including Pontefract Driving Test Centre.

Awful. Rude examiners and when I took the test the sat nav malfunctioned, for which there was no apology
Had my 1hr 30min of driving early in the morning before the test then waited for 1hr to be told that your test is cancelled and they could manage to send me an email 2-3 days before test that its been cancelled. Wont recommend
If I could give it a 0 star I would.
This test centre needs some examiners replacing. I walked into the building to wait for my test to begin and I'm listening to two of the examiners laughing and joking about a girl who's failed for the tenth time. How unprofessional. The examiner I got was notoriously known for being miserable and marking you out for petty things. From the first minutes I felt uncomfortable with the way the examiner imposed himself. He wouldn't move the TomTom from where the sunlight was hitting it after I asked twice. I got told my driving was great but I was failed for driving too close to the narrow wall near the test centre with an oncoming car aside me on the other side of the road. I was only ever going to be too close to it, it's a small road. Corrupt examiner, corrupt test centre.
Seems like the examiners are there to intimidate you.
