THE DRIVING TEST IN Rugby
The driving test from Rugby Driving Test Centre is likely to take you outside of Rugby and into rural roads, country driving and villages. High speed ‘A’ roads such as the A4071 and A428 are also likely.
In Rugby itself, the examiner will be testing your ability at various road traffic systems including roundabouts of varying types, crossroads and junctions. In-town residential areas are assessing you driving ability for passing parked car distances, meeting oncoming vehicles whilst navigating parked vehicles and often these roads are used for test manoeuvre purposes.
Expect a single manoeuvre with around a 1-in-3 possibility of the emergency stop procedure and approximately 10 minutes of independent driving. Test centre routes are designed by the examiners who conduct practical tests at their local test centre. The routes are designed in such a way so to involve as many diverse roads and traffic systems as possible, often including very challenging parts.
Gaining knowledge of the test routes provides valuable insight into the type of roads that will be taken during your test. Driving test routes may be available to view or a downloadable app for your mobile device in your area, including Rugby Driving Test Centre.

Good centre. Mr Sing best exam man very nice calm guy
I recently sat a test I didn't pass,But feel very strongly about writing a review at the kindness (IAN) showed towards me.I wanted so desperately to pass for personal reasons and put alot of pressure on myself to pass and could not control my anxiety.I was shaking and desperate to pass. And I was really grateful that Ian tried to help me calm do by being nice to me and telling me it's ok just take your time. His voice was calm and reassuring and he made me feel at ease as usually I find it all very intimidating but Ian was a very nice man and asked me to call him Ian straight away.Although I didn't pass due to my nerves getting the better of me I am truly grateful for Ian's kindness that day.Thankyou!
