THE DRIVING TEST IN Slough
Many challenging roads can be expected on the driving test from Slough Driving Test Centre. Driving outside of Slough itself, routes often include rural country roads, in and around villages. Often challenging, rural roads can be high speed met with sharp corners. The country road driving tutorial offers advice for these road types.
High speed ‘A’ roads and dual carriageways such as the A332 and A355 also often feature on the test. Driving in Slough itself, you will be expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge and ability for all road systems such as junctions, crossroads and roundabouts of various types.
Throughout the 30 to 40 minutes of the driving test, a single test manoeuvre will be requested, a 1-in-3 possibility of the emergency stop procedure and 10 minutes or so of independent driving. The test routes are compiled by the examiners who conduct the tests at each specific test centre. Test routes are compiled to utilise as many varied road types and traffic systems as possible so to ensure the test candidate is proficient in all aspects of driving.
Test routes often include difficult parts and by gaining knowledge of the routes offers valuable insight into what to expect on the test. Driving test routes may be available to view or a downloadable app for your mobile device in your area, including Slough Driving Test Centre.

The examiners are professional and really fair. They just do their jobs . They want a safe driver
My examiner has failed me twice: First time he failed me for following cars too closely and not thinking ahead of traffice. Today he failed for being too slow on dual carriageway while I was moving on 48 mph and the car infront of me was slow moving vehicle and his reasoning for the failure was " I should have over taken the vehicle on the right" which I wasn't comfortable doing becasue vehicles coming behind was overtaken us too fast and too close. I guess "thinking safety first" isn't good reason enough to pass. This examiner robbed me of my licence. P.S I haven't made any other mistake.
I had my third driving test today and i asked for a English instructor as I find it difficult to understand certain accents. I came to Langley test centre earlier this year without asking for an English examiner and I had a man called Juknden from India or Pakistan, he was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable, I then went to Chertey test centre and had a good experience as the man was very kind, I went back to Langley for today, had the same man as I did when I had my first test in Langley even though I asked for an English driver from the previous experience I had with this man but he's was even worse, he laughed at my car which I saved up for out of my own money and told me to hurry up whilst I was trying to reverse, I have never felt so intimidated in my whole life and I am ashamed to have even come across this person, I was rude to him at the end only because when he told me I had failed he made me feel little and once again uncomfortable. I wouldn't even rate Langley and this man should be looked at because I wouldn't want anyone in the situation I was in today.
