THE DRIVING TEST IN Warrington

The location of Warrington Driving Test Centre will allow for the test routes to cover varied road types. Busy urban streets will see you covering many traffic systems from roundabouts, junctions and crossroads and into residential areas.

These areas often with narrow lanes will see the examiner assess you at passing parked cars whilst dealing with oncoming vehicles, and often require negotiating small closed junctions. Towards the outer edge of Warrington, dual carriageways such as the A49 can be expected, and then onto outer villages and rural country road driving.

The test is to also include one of the potential four test manoeuvres, the choice being that of the examiners, and each practical also includes independent driving that lasts for around 10 minutes. One in every four tests conducted, the examiner requests that the candidate demonstrates the emergency stop procedure. Knowing each and every test route isn’t essential, though gaining an understanding of the particularly difficult areas of the test routes often proves beneficial.

Examiners who conduct the tests develop the test routes for their test centres with the intention of taking the test candidate through as many varied road types and traffic systems as possible, within the time given. This is to ensure test candidates can deal with all situations and often involves difficult areas. Driving test routes may be available to view or a downloadable app for your mobile device in your area, including Warrington Driving Test Centre.

Had a woman called grace she was awful

 by Nicoleta

Passed my test 29/12/2023. I had Grace as an examiner and I can’t recommend her enough. She is patient, very clear, helpful, calm and friendly. She makes you feel at ease the moment before you step in the car and she is truly dedicated to her job. Couldn’t have asked for a better examiner, thank you Grace! I would have said the same if I have failed!

My daughter had her test on 14 September 2022 for the second time and got the same Examiner called Grace. As soon as she walked over to us my daughter went into panic mode! This Examiner is rude, huffed and puffed and shouted on test. My daughter is not a confident driver and the last thing you need whilst having a driving test is a rude, intimidating Examiner. Grace failed her both times. When I approached her after the test, to find out why she failed her, she told me to get a warning light looked at on my car and turned her back and stormed off into the office! So rude and totally unprofessional and not acceptable. It’s 2022 are we not moving with times and taking the stigma away from these people of authority who act like God!! Most of these pupils are young and very nervous, help them to feel relaxed and they will drive better! Grace needs to improve her people skills and attitude, as I can see we not the only people to suffer this awful human!! Come Test centre read your reviews and take some action!!!!! My daughter has been that upset by it she is choosing to take her next test at a different test centre, as is too scared and upset to risk getting Grace again!!!!
